John Mulligan

Director, Breakthrough Consultancy
John has 30 years experience as professional educator, coach and consultant. His background was in innovative adult education and for many years was Director of the Human Potential Resource Group at Surrey University in the U.K. He draws on in-depth knowledge and skill in personal, team and organisational development acquired while designing and delivering their acclaimed M Sc. in Change Agent Skills and Strategies.
He now works with CEOs, senior managers, internal consultants and boards of directors to help them realise their potential. Clients include Hi-Tech start-ups, public sector, and multinational organisations in the Pharmaceutical, Banking and Communication.
He specialises in leadership development, learning process, and the use of contention and conflict for growth and transformation. Contention and conflict are seen as a potential gateway to learning, growth and outstanding performance. He has designed new approaches to collective leadership development and leadership coaching on behalf of clients.
Set in the context of building learning organisations, John applies action inquiry together with outstanding facilitation skills to enable individuals, teams and organisations meet their adaptive challenges.

He has co-facilitated regular workshops on political reconciliation for many years at Glencree Centre for Peace and Reconciliation and has also carried out research and training for the EU funded Programme for Peace and Reconciliation.
He has written numerous publications, including The Personal Management Handbook, which has sold over 100,000 copies and has been translated into several languages.

John holds qualifications in Psychology, Facilitation Styles, Teaching and Counselling and is qualified to use a range of individual and team psychometric assessment instruments.

Zana Duthie

Zana has worked in training and development for over 18 years. She has extensive experience in the design and delivery of management development and leadership development, through the provision of executive coaching and mentoring and the delivery of specific training programmes.

Zana is committed to the development of new and emergent models of leadership. Her strengths are in the facilitation and coaching of groups and individuals to increase their effectiveness. Of particular interest is her work in communication and the development of the Learning Organisation. She enablea individuals to create high regard for their professional and creative skills and establish models of high performance.

Zana works with breakthrough models of change that links strategic and structural change with personal, behavioral and cultural change. She integrates traditional models of business development with current thinking, using many of the therapeutic models of change and ideas generated by systems thinking. She also utilizes many of the strategies and models offered in Neuro linguistic Programming and is both a Master Practioner and Qualified trainer in this field.

Jill Boggiss

Jill has worked in organisational development for the last seven years and has a mixture of internal and external experience. She has been involved in a variety of projects ranging from an enterprise wide leadership project within a large financial services organisation to team building and coaching. She works in leadership development, team building, career management, communications effectiveness. She is also an executive coach working with individuals and senior teams.

Jill left Kleinwort Benson in 1996 where she was Director of Corporate Communications to set up her own business, and has been working as a consultant since then.

Jill has a Masters Degree in Change Agent Skills and Strategies. She is a master practitioner in Neuro Linguistic Programming and is an NLP accredited coach.

Peter MacKenzie

Peter has worked in organisational development for the past 10 years, both in internal Organisation and Management Development roles, and as an independent consultant. He has worked with business leadership teams and project teams in financial services, pharmaceuticals and professional service firms. This work involved the development of leadership, management and individual capability. Peter has worked across Europe, the USA, the Far East and Africa and has extensive experience of working with cross cultural groups.

Before this work Peter followed his academic background, working for six years in pharmaceutical research then three years introducing TQM to a pharmaceutical manufacturing operation.

Tom Lane

Tom was a founder and Engineering VP of ISOCOR, floated on NASDAQ in 1996. Tom has been involved in the Software Industry for over 18 years and has been intimately involved in every aspect of management of technology companies. Since 1999, he has worked with emerging and mature organisations and Venture Capitalists providing strategic, executive and team development services.

He is a facilitator to a number of individuals and companies and specialises in leadership, communication and transformational change. His motivation is to assist individuals and organisations pioneer new ways to lead, relate and organise, helping them to evolve organisational forms and patterns of relationship that are both successful and fit for the human spirit. He employes an integral and appreciative approach which recognises and addresses the complex interplay of people, behaviours, cultures and systems within all organisations.

 

Breakthrough also partners with a small number of highly skilled expert Associates who collaborate on specific projects as needs arise.
